Anna Sajovic is a writer and former educator whose memoir Surviving Mommy draws from a childhood marked by instability, countercultural excess in and early responsibility. Over decades, she recorded and refined the memories that would eventually become this manuscript, formally organizing and drafting the book beginning in 2013.

Sajovic holds a graduate degree and spent her professional career as a teacher, coach, and public speaker. She has published professional articles and is previously published within the field of education, but Surviving Mommy is her first work of literary nonfiction for a general audience.
